Case study video

dryrobe already had the brand. Changing robes people live in — outdoor swimming, surfing, sideline, anywhere the weather doesn’t wait. Traffic was there. The product was there. Shoppers landing on a PDP were ready to buy.

The product page was the leak. Too slow to show the robe. Too slow to become usable once it did. Paid and organic traffic both paid to arrive at a wait.

The problem

On a dryrobe PDP, the product image is the page. If it paints late, the robe isn’t there yet. Add-to-cart sits behind a blank load.

That delay sits on conversion. Outdoor, cold-weather, mobile-heavy traffic has even less patience — they’re often on the move, on a phone, deciding in seconds.

That’s not a design problem. It’s a load-order problem.

What we changed

We didn’t redesign the store. We didn’t touch the brand, the photography, or the catalogue.

We made the product show up first:

  • Prioritised the PDP hero so the robe could paint
  • Cut work that was competing with the first paint
  • Left the theme, apps, and visuals alone

Same store. Same robes. The page just appeared when people expected it to.

The result

PDPs came in 67.19% faster. Conversion rate lifted 14.9%. That’s roughly an extra $1.01M per year.

Twenty-four days. Zero new ad spend. Nothing else changed.

Identical site. Just much faster at first paint.

This is the pattern we see over and over: the revenue is already on the site. Speed is what stops it leaking at the weakest link.
